A Penske Senior Logistics Analyst is a liaison between Operations and Technology. A Senior Logistics Analyst will be responsible for data gathering, reporting functions, and their alignment with customer metrics. They will support cost saving ideas, requests for proposals, special projects, and process improvement initiatives. In addition, this role will have some responsibility to create customized solutions for the customer using transportation modeling tools. The position will involve completion of certain pricing assignments and workflow in the department as needed. The position has high visibility both internally and externally and will require interaction with senior levels management.

Major Responsibilities:
-Works within a prescribed process using tools to analyze data, generate standard routing or load plans, and provide reports and metrics on a regular basis to ensure solution effectiveness. These tools are commercially available or developed by the Penske Engineering or IT departments and are utilized to execute a solution.
-Supports the design and implementation of a developed supply chain solution as it relates to specific Penske business agreements.
- Supports the preparation of results into proposal documents or other reports and presentations for both the customer and Penske.
-Participate in process improvement teams and cost saving initiatives.
-Applies tactical processes daily within the established business rules.
-Meet customer deadlines and provide required metrics
-Interacts with the customer by phone, email or in person on an as needed basis.
-Be able to resolve situations quickly, communicate status of problems, and work with the appropriate subject matter expert until it is corrected with the guidance of a more senior level associate.
-Participates in cross-functional groups to create the expected customer outcomes.
-Understands what the customer does, what their business model is and what their expectations are.
- Develop costing and pricing as needed under the guidance of a Senior Pricing Analyst or Manager to support business pricing while achieving or exceeding financial goals.
-To monitor and update pricing templates.
-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
-1 to 4 years comparable work experience
-Bachelor's Degree required: Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management preferred. A minor in finance economics or accounting is a plus
-Fundamental understanding or desire to learn transportation, supply chain and logistics concepts
-Strong written and oral communication skills required
-Ability to communicate initiatives to both internal and external senior leaders
-Consistently demonstrates proven ability to learn and use necessary tools
-Ability to follow process and standard procedures required
-Knowledge of routing Software like Direct Route and PC Miler is a plus.
-Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
-Excellent analytical/problem solving capabilities
-Experience in BI Data and Tableau is a plus
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
