The HR Assistant/Recruiter will provide support for the company recruitment and staffing needs. This positions essential functions may include but are not limited to:

Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university, and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.

Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.

Uses nontraditional resources for recruiting needs, such as online job fairs, community network events, etc. to identify and attract quality candidates.

Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.

Screens and coordinates interviews of qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing. May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.

Administers offer letters and required paperwork to candidates.

Manages current candidate activity and resume retention according to company policy.

Conducts reference and background checks.

Coordinates and conducts orientations for new employees and provides completed paperwork to payroll.

Maintains recruiting activities as required.

Ensures complete, accurate and confidential personnel files.

Maintains employee records, including filing, annually removing and storing term files, and preparing new hire and rehire personnel files as necessary.

Other duties as assigned by the HR Manager
