POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role of Pastry + Catering Program Manager is a role which involves managing, supporting and supervising the quality of products and services for the breakfast + small plate food program. The position requirements and responsibilities are outlined below.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists along side the Sous and Kitchen Ops in recipe development & new menu rollout management as it relates to baking and catering menus
Participates in timelines for menu creation for new pastries
Understands the management and upkeep of vendor pricing
Maintains a collaborative & creative work environment for all kitchen staff
Supports the maintenance of the QC guide and recipes with updates for new pastry items and photos
Ensures consistency of pastries and follow-through for entire kitchen staff
Sets excellent customer service and work ethic examples
Actively participates as a member of the management team
Oversees and manages any special orders for events, large orders, large reservation, etc. alongside the Kitchen Ops Manager
Project manages catering and event menus with support of Event Curator
Supports Event Curator with event catering inventory, Event BEOs, and Food Preparation
Supports Event Curator in all set up of food tables for Events
Sets and Manages QC standards and QC guide for all Catering Menu items
Ensures consistency of event platters and follow-through for entire kitchen staff
Communicates with Staffing Manager in timely manner regarding kitchen staffing needs for events
Leads training for kitchen employees to company standards of Event boards, Event food, and portions
Manages Event prep work and delegates as necessary (including on days and time off)
Maintains a collaborative & creative work environment for all kitchen staff
Receives product by verifying invoice and appropriate quality of merchandise at all times
Verifies that kitchen staff follows all recipes and portions servings correctly at all times
Manages kitchen cleaning and organizing, closes (making sure team keeps kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean and organized up to code standard)
Corresponds with Event Curator, owners and managers in a timely manner either by email or phone call
Maintains a level of excitement and creativity in kitchen menu development as opportunities and restaurant operations evolve
Has a full understanding of Mr. West brand, ethos and culture, specifically as it relates to menu development

REQUIREMENTS:
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Hard working/can-do, proactive attitude.
Cool under pressure
Incredibly detail oriented when prepping and plating food
Flexibility in your job with the ability to cross train and multitask
Experience in a fast paced, multi-faceted kitchen
Customer service skills and the ability to present and talk about food + beverages
Team player
Requirements

2+ years previous experience in a related leadership position (school experience will be considered)
Valid Food Handler Certification required.
Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift. Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Flexible schedule - Able to work a variety of shifts; Full time positions available.
