Job Summary
The Fiscal Analyst 2 serves as the primary contact for all non-student 3rd party billing and serves as the travel administrator for the District. This position reports to the Fiscal Analyst 4 and works independently to perform various general accounting functions. Other duties include reviewing and posting of Financial Aid second journal sets to the District’s General Ledger to facilitate drawing down financial aid reimbursements, analyzing and correcting discrepancies, reviewing quarterly enrollment reports and billing school districts for running start fees.

The Fiscal Analyst 2 actively supports and engages in the College’s mission, core themes, and values of learning, integrity, respect, accountability and sustainability. *Using established guidelines and following all applicable state and federal reporting requirements; review and process all 3rd party/non-student billing requests for the District.
*Generate, submit, and post invoices within the billing module of the Finance pillar of ctcLink.
*Review and analyze billing discrepancies, maintain customer account information, submit and respond to billing related technical support tickets.

*Following established Pierce College policies and procedures in conjunction with rules and regulations adopted by the Office of Financial Management and Department of Enterprise Services relating to Travel; review and process all travel related documents for the District, which include; travel authorizations, travel advances, travel expense reimbursements, Corporate Travel Card (Airfare) and others.
*Administer, review and monitor Pierce College’s Corporate Charge Card System for appropriate use of state funds; reconcile travel advance sub-ledger.
*Submit and respond to travel related technical support tickets.

General Accounting
*Process off-campus work study billing.
*Review monthly running start enrollment reports and bill school district for fees quarterly.
*Review and post financial aid second journal set transactions to the District’s General Ledger.
*Review, analyze and interpret agency accounting and financial records and reports; analyze and correct discrepancies, develop fiscal queries or reports for an existing fiscal database.
*Assist in the preparation of monthly draw down of financial aid reimbursements from Department of Education and the State of Washington.

*Complete special projects as assigned by the Fiscal Analyst 4- Grants and Contract Accountant, Fiscal Analyst 5- Accounting Coordinator, Director of Budget and Finance, or Vice President of Administrative Services.
*Assist in preparation of records, annually, for archival.
*Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Education
*Some college level coursework including at least 15 quarter or 10 semester hours in accounting, auditing, budget or business from an accredited college or university.

Required Experience
*One to two years of relevant professional experience, ex. data entry, Microsoft Office.
*Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) classified, overtime-exempt position with Pierce College District. The primary work location will be at Pierce College, Fort Steilacoom campus but occasional travel to Pierce College campuses or sites may occur. Work hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekend work, and occasional travel as required. This position may be subject to reassignment between campuses or sites.

Salary & Benefits
The starting salary range of this position is $3,446.00 - $3,987.00 a month (dependent upon qualifications), with annual periodic increments up to $4,627.00. However, your paycheck is just part of the total compensation package. There is an outstanding benefits package which is worth an additional value equivalent to about 30% of your salary.
